Missions Statement and Purpose:

In keeping with our Lord's command to make disciples of all nations, and under the continuing guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Missions Ministry exists to mobilize the body of Christ at Calvary Chapel Merritt Island to global mission service in the areas of informing, identifying, equipping, sending, and supporting missionaries around the world.  The focus of the ministry is towards:

• Distinct efforts to involve the entire body of Calvary Chapel Merritt Island in the joyful work of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost:  in our families, community, country, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.
• Provision of services and opportunities for other ministries within Calvary Chapel to become practically involved in missions.
• Development of strategic partnerships with ministries consistent with our values.
• Provision of consistent support/care for current missionaries/ministries.

CENTRAL / SOUTH AMERICA

• Calvary Chapel Managua, Nicaragua – church planted by CCMI in 2000

• Linda Collins – Local board member of Mama Tara Orphanage in Honduras; will move there, going full-time in Summer 2012.
